dont know y ppl use that speed test cos its crap why dont u download a file from microsoft or something

On Karoo PRO - awaiting ADSL2+ activation - full 8mbps link running with no issues - bluetonder ftp site runs at 820KB/sec

They maybe limiting it to 13 Meg due to the fluctuations in you snr.

There system will probably be setup to stop this from happening and setup to provide a stable service instead of more speed.

@16 it was between 7 and 10

It's the contention ratio I think now that is slowing me down. though it is very strange that I get faster speeds on news than on http. perhaps due to the number of different threads..?

contention ratio -> 300kb/s is a joke though. Especially at 7 in the morning!? it is not like 800kb/s is anywhere near the maximum on my line??

at least they have put it back to where it should be.

edit: news still goes exactly 1.2, http speedtest around 800 and ftp around 400. Karoo download site = 600.

so i'm guessing u'd want at least a 16meg profile, not a 13
