KCOM have been asked to send name/contact details for p2p file sharing..
So if you have been p2p file uploading/downloading - be ready for a letter...
and if you are still doing so - be very very very careful..!

but also be aware that there is a scam going on that prays on the above:

Or just get a seedbox, then you are only downloading from the seedbox to your comp which I think is not illegal. What is illegal is sharing copywrite.

I have found 1 that is only 10 quid a month. You only get 20 gig of space and able to do 3 torrents at any time but it suits my needs.
I do have a second a bit more expencive but crappy speeds compared to the first.

well on my cheap but better speeds one, I was downloading over 1.4meg and uploading at 658kbs.

It does all depend on seeds and leechers the more the better.

why spend money on a "seedbox" instead of usenet?? madness?

only advantage of torrents is that they are free... but that is mostly why they are shite!

Ouch !!!

Usenet = 5 euros a month (about £4) - 60 days retention - MAX (that your conn will allow)  download speed 24/7 - anonymous SSL encryption - EVERYTHING available 24/7 - Unlimited download (fill your boots - Account sharing allowed (share with a m8 for half price)

Torrents shite? No. If you are a member of the right sites they are pretty damn good and they are all about sharing. Thing is all torrents seem to come form Usenet first

I'm just not willing to pay the extra money for Usenet. Plus Karoo still throttle newsgroups the same as torrents don't they?
