yeah they throttle everything like jokers. what sites are the good ones? are we talking about private groups? I tried them once a while ago but I couldn't really use torrents and play games at the same time. can't really use public trackers/etc - too many leechers.

you can never find older stuff on torrents, people don't seed it for long enough.

Private sites are the best. Some people seem to have a problem with seeding back but on private sites they are quickly weeded out. Can find some great stuff even really old stuff.

The good ones well i wouldn't feel comfortable mentioning them on here.

I much preffer usenet, try it with an account on hitnews.eu (3 day trial) wouldnt buy a pernament account with them though. (but if you have a domain you can make a new account every few days with a different email) and nzbmatrix.com for nzb's, also use newsleecher as downloader.

Dont know if this is allowed on hyere but in themselves non of these sites are illegal afaik

I do only use private trackers, Mainly one that you need an invite to get in which I have been a member for a few years and has always been good. I was talking to a m8 at work today who has used usenets but he did say the invite I gave him a while back has been a great site and uses it more than usenet now.

agreed. if like most you have a set pot that you can spend, i'd rather put the vast majority into decent hardware, than have a shiney sticker with a serial on the side, and chugger along at less frames than someone who wears glasses

edit: that said! i do think its important publishers/movie makers etc who make decent stuff at reasonable price we should show our support to
