Yup did that. what it is, is when open the update wizard it says press next then it asks u to choose your adapter card then press next then a box opens with device list, this is the problem because there is nothing in the device list so it will not carry on. I have tried it on 2 computers with xp, one with sp2 and the other with sp3.

I sent karoo an email about this gamers profile and they have replied saying im already on it.

Maybe they will use the same system as eclipse and Be have just released, http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/3731-be-allows-customers-to-change-connection-parameters.html
and eclipse http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/3537-eclipse-launches-customised-broadband-services-with-qos.html

Maybe... but they are two different things, the Eclipse method is just traffic shaping, but the BE method is to do with the actual ADSL profile for the line...

Given KCs kit, they potentially could do both.

Just a question, but as BE's Gaming Profile seems about switching over from the interleaved to the FastPath channel of the connection, can we force this via our ADSL modem's AUTOEXEC.NET or equivalent?

It's reminiscent of the old V.series modem standards, as interleaving seems to be on Auto "if and when required" with some wholesalers.

can you still see bbc.co.uk on a web browser?  and does it resolve correctly (provide an IP address in the ping)?

If so then it may be that the BBC are refusing to acknowledge the pings to reduce the load.

Can you get a ping from google.co.uk?

Fasternet will provide a much more thorough explanation ...

Yeah, unfortunately the interleave on ADSL2+ packages increases the latency a bit more...

I used to get 6-8ms to Karoo servers and 10-13ms to London servers, also 9-12ms to Manchester servers,

Now everything has increased by about 6-8ms... not too bad though Smiley

To be honest, anything sub 80 in an FPS is acceptable.

COD4, crysis, CSS, TF2, the list goes on and on, i've never had a problem with a ping of about 43-60.
