I have been using AVG antivirus to scan my yahoo e-mails successfully for years now, but today i noticed images sent as attachments where just showing up as blank imagesize areas with a little square in the top left corner, to view the images i have to click on the actual attachment to either open or save it. To my horror my avg virus scanner has now been replaced by norton..the worst virus software in the world..clicking to open my attachments has only brought up that "the scanner is unavailable at the moment, try later"....or as i did, risk opening an infected file...
I shall be giving Karoo a call tomorrow...

miken...From Karoo question and answer pages

I already use my Anti-Virus software to protect my computer and don’t want your email Anti-Virus service. Can I opt out?
You cannot opt out of the service. Anti-Virus software has the limitation of you not having the most up-to date virus signature on your computer and therefore not stopping the virus from infecting your computer. Kingston is protecting its network and the services we deliver to all our customers and therefore this service is provided free of charge.

I changed from karoo1000 to pro 2 weeks ago then this happens, no probs before,I will ring  Karoo anyway to see if it has anything to do with them, if not yahoo is next port of call.

Heh, I don't think that covers every email service available, it'll be for the email service that karoo provide themselves. Good grief some people  Shocked

Hang on a min

I am lost here if you had AVG installed how did Norton get installed from a E-mail attachment??? the attachement would have to be massive because Norton's E-mail scanner is installed with the whole package.

Norton isnt installed in your system. The email servers scan the email using nroton before you download the email form them.
