hi guys

yay 1st post!!!! and 1st topic!!!!

was just wondering about usenet, i have recently been cut off from my internet for downloading and uploading torrents - now i have been allowed back on the internet i was just wanted to know if karoo will be able to tell if i'm downloading files off usenet.

as i don't want to have to pay a fine to be reconnected (which they said will happen!)

thanks in advance

The reason you were originally cut off is because the copyright holder spotted you illegally sharing their content on an open tracker and complained to KCOM.

KCOM don't police your internet pipe, it would be a massive undertaking to check the internet traffic of every user so KCOM place the responsibility for what traverses your internet pipe on you. Hence their new T&C state you can be disconnected if someone else uses your internet connection with or without you knowing, the onus is on you to safe guard your connection.

The only thing I can say is don't do anything illegal.

I am locking this topic.
