How do Karoo charge your account? If i take my router to another address and use it, who gets charged ie..would GB usage come off my account because of router settings or would it come off other address because it's using their phone line.I ask this because my brother has 2 phone lines into his business (2 seperate phone numbers) and because the wireless connection is not very good, he is getting broadband to 2nd line. Will he have to change settings on the router ie change from user1@karoo.uk to user2@karoo.uk (user1 and 2 substituted for real user name) to go onto new account, would this in effect allow him to use 75gb from one account on 2nd line then switch to 2nd account on 2nd line for another 75gb usage. It may sound a queer way to carrying on but circumstances require this set up.

Interesting question.......

I suspect the bandwidth usage will be tied to the line and not the credentials. Anyone else know or have any theories?

hmm - interesting one

Going on past experience of RADIUS accounting, I vote for it being tied to the login account rather than the line. This is certainly the case for our DSL users

Your monthly GB allowance is tied to your login details, not your line.

Could I use my login credentials on a line which is not my own?

Yes you can use your login credentials on another line, i used my router on brothers line with my credentials, just didn't know who's GB usage was being used, his or mine, and cheers friendlykcengineer that solves that one.

Not recommended though as from today it breaches the T&Cs...

It goes against your username.  I know this because I did this on my brother's line.  Might I add at Karoo's request as there was a problem with his account.  Going against their own T&Cs tut tut  Huh? Roll Eyes
