I'm currently on Karoo Max option 4. Just curious what i would recieve on ADSL2. My stats are as follows:

Connection Speed 8128 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 26.5 db 15.6 db
Noise Margin 12.1 db 31.2 db

Noise doesn't change, its always them values, day or night.

I see see 850 On torrents during the day too Smiley

What could i achieve on ADSL2?

adsl2+ (LLU)     17600 kbps     Throughput  15576    kbps

But obviously you will be restricted to connecting at 16000kbps,

My stats are currently

Connection Speed 16141 kbps 1023 kbps
Line Attenuation   29.5 db 15.6 db
Noise Margin         6.4 db 12.8 db

I don't use torrents (to dangerous) but at full speed using grabit i get download of 1667kB/s, about 1gb per 10mins, down side, heavily throttled (more like strangled really) across tea time, but at those speeds usually set to download files during free period.

Lucky sod,

You must have a great attenuation, 26db or there abouts no doubt?

I have attenuation of 37.5db so i can't get above 9.5mb throughput speed, (9500kbps), and connect at 11000kbps, but obviously i don't get full speed because of stability issues..

I wish i lived closer to an exchange, but there is nothing i can do to help my speed due to distance from exchange, resulting in my high (ish) attenuation..  Sad

Mine is 50 and they reckon I should only get 5 meg tops, I am getting 7 meg tho.
At 7 meg the street lights knock me offline momentarily but re connects fine, such is life  Smiley
