So, I went and ran a speedtest over at speedtest.net. Take a look at the fantastic results!

o_O

Internet settings from my router;

Internet Settings
   ADSL Status    CONNECTED
   Data Rate
   Downstream/Upstream   2304Kb/288Kb
   Connection Type   PPPoA
   WAN MAC Address   00:11:50:2F:5E:F1
   WAN IP   77.86.105.157
   Subnet Mask   255.0.0.0
   Default Gateway   77.86.105.254
   Primary DNS Address   212.50.160.100
   Secondary DNS Address   cachedns2.core.kcom.com

What's with this? I live in Beverley (HU17), and my internet service just seems to be terrible.

I'm using a Belkin ADSL router, model F5D7632-4 and am on Karoo 500. Can anyone help me out here?

Also, for about a week now my internet has gone down everynight at about 5pm. This lasts for 6-12 hours usually. A little green light with a globe next to it turns off when this happens.

I mean...is this just crappy service? Or is it me? Am I using the wrong equipment or have I set something up wrong? I'd really appreciate it if somebody could help me out.

Switched over? How long is that supposed to take?

edit: Nevermind, forget I said I was on Karoo Mid. I wasn't thinking. I'm on the Broadband 500 package. Is it worth switching over?

Those stats are exactly right/perfect for a 500 service.

If you want higher speeds upgrade to a package which isn't 2 years old?

I'm in Walkington, and I'm getting seriously rubbish service at the moment.  I used to get nearly double this speed.  It's been like this for the last few weeks.  Not happy.
