I never thought I would be praising Karoo but I have just changed over from Max option 4 to the new Pro package and other than my Linksys router not working with it I am very happy.

I'm currently connect at
Us Rate (Kbps)   1021
Ds Rate (Kbps)   10236
US Margin   8
DS Margin   11
Trained Modulation   ADSL_2plus
DS Line Attenuation   37
US Line Attenuation   22

I emailed Karoo about getting a speed increase after a week or so of making sure the line is stable and their happy to increase it  Grin
Oh when I switched packages I opted to get the free wireless router, Waited a week it never arrived so I phoned Karoo and it hadn't been ordered. The lady on the phone said she would order it and wipe the delivery charge  Grin

I must also add my praise for Karoo as of late, they seem all of a sudden to be customer oriantated, does that mean that the deadwood have now been weeded out?

Although they haven't yet solved the iPlayer streaming problem, the helpdesk was good in keeping in touch by email and performing a variety of tests.

This is far better than the original "let's check your settings" you used to get when you phoned them to complain that when you tried to dial up it was engaged Tongue

I'm just so surprised that with an DS attenuation of 38.5db you can get 11mb with 7.5db SNR.

my DS attenuation is 37.5db and i've done as many things as poss to help my line, removed all unnecessary wires on phone sockets, decent router, no daft extension wires etc, and yet with my above attenuation, the best i can get is 11200kbps connection, with a downstream of 10400kbps, and this is usually when i set my snr to 4.6db

Strange lol
