Non Karoo Standard TG585v7 Routers.

Have seen many routers going second hand on flee bay ect and noticed that some say on them PluSnet, AOL ect, especially with the TG 585v7.
Now, can these be used on the Karoo network with some config changes or are these embeded, to be used only on that particular network.

Apparently, Thomson offer Firmware customization kits to 3rd-party's to add branded logos, TR-069 Management platforms, and their Setup Wizard adds "Select a service" of PlusNet ISP or Other. They're not locked to PlusNet (etc) but are probably locked from reverting to Thomson Firmware, or eBay would be oblivious to suppliers.
