Office manager here (City Centre) took a phone call from BT this morning saying they are adding to competition in KC land.   I'll have to wait until I speak to her tomorrow to find out what they said but I believe they are sending some info through the post.

I will report again when I have more info...

Thats funny, a mate of mine said a BT rep was in his work place the other week saying that BT are coming to Hull in the next few months. I will believe it when I see it is what I said to him. Smiley

There are already a few companies that offer their services in 01482 land through Least Cost Routing (LCR).
This looks like BT have cottoned on to that and are marketing their services.

Don't expect BT to take over KC's network and any business signing up with BT should check out all their options before saying yes to BT, they are absolute sharks!

I get the impression it's all to do with the renewal of leases in 2012.  BT seem to be reccying interest for the future.  Also trying to get a meeting with us to sell stuff to so maybe it's just a marketting ploy.

I wonder how much money BT waste indulging in the advertisement of services that they cant deliver?

Just seen this message on another message board

"Hi guys.
First time posting on here I am Jack Higgins the recently appointed Hull Regional Account Manager for BT. I have been in this for position for about 6weeks now and have been seeing business within the Hull area. The main reason for me been in this position is to share BT’s plans for Hull, BT have committed to an investment within the Hull area and we are currently exploring how it will be best to provide our full products and services. BT entering the Hull area marks a significant change to BT policy and this is a result of intensive market research and also active captaining from the local MP for Hull.
I would be happy to speak to any business that would be interested in speaking to me about BT’s plans for Hull and also products that we currently have that are available in Hull.
My contact details are as follows:
E:
T: 0800 XXX XXXX
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards."
