Hi

Anyone know what I need to do to get caller ID activated on my telephone line?

I added an additional phone line at my house a while back and have a phone that supports caller ID, so do I need to call KC to get it activated or anything and do they charge?

If you're on talk 2 or above, it's free (included) but I think you have to ask them to activate it.

If you're on talk 1 you have to pay £1 a month for it...Again you have to call them to activate it.

I am on talk 1 and i got it free, only time it will cost is when you want to take it off and i am sure she said it would then cost £11

Actually, the comparison table does say it's chargeable on KC Talk 1, and I'm on KC Talk 1 and I seem to recall we do get charged for it.  They introduced this a while ago to rob us for even more money.

I think its a bloody cheek to charge us for caller id.

Daft charges like this only serve to alienate KCOM customers further, no doubt.

Oh well, I`ll not bother with caller ID then ;-)
