Can anyone tell me where I can view a foll copy of KC's telephone terms & conditions?
They have just cut my phone off as I haven't paid my internet bill for this quarter yet.  I just don't have the £ at the minute but I was going to pay it by the end of this month. We've never missed a payment before now and not once been late with a payment for the phone, This quarters telephone bill isn't even due to be sent until the 22nd they said on the phone. I thought the telephone contract wasn't linked to the broadband  Huh? if they don't put my phone back on I'll scrap them all together and have none!

We may limit the type of telephone services available to our customers while they are paying off their debt. If we are going to limit service in any way, we will tell our customers why we are doing so and we will explain to them what types of call they can still make.

Well they never informed us they just switched the phone off & their is nothing in the telephone T&C's about the internet! I'll be phoning them back today, They can scrap both the internet and the phone. It's like blackmail, if you dont pay your net you can't have the phone ...unbelievable!

Surely they can't do that, if your with BT for your phone but say AOL for broadband and you don't pay AOL then you'll just lose your broadband....just another one of Kcom's benefits of having us over a barrel.

Exactly mate! What if I was disabled and relied on phoning taxi's to go anywhere?
I'm going to contact them again today about it ...totally unbelievable plus the phone is fully paid up until the 22nd! They can get away with anything when their is no competition.

KC don't mess about!
I once got cut off the day after I paid my bill and they charged me to switch it back on.
They are a law unto themselves.

Another thing about them that gets my goat is how they only give you 14 days to pay up, I went away for just over 3 weeks and got a red bill and got charged an extra £5. I've not set up a direct debit so it shouldn't happen again.

Disgraceful how they treat the people who keep the company afloat. Nice to see watchdog have been in touch with Hullnet about Karoo and are asking people to provide feedback etc

Son had phone cut due to missed d/d on internet.  May payment missed, cuts in service on july, bill for over 140 pounds(3 months plus reconection) to be paid before phone put back on, payments on phone are upto date, if internet is cancelled before 12 month sentance is up, they will be charged for any months due and all have to be paid before phoneline restored .

The last time I phoned up which was ages ago I said I want it all cut off permanently how much will it be. The woman on the phone said 'It'll be £140'. I waited for the bill and when it arrived it was for £270! So I phoned them up again and a bloke said 'Whoever you spoke to made a mistake'. So I got put through to credit control and offered them £5 a week, They said 'oh no we cant accept that' so in the end I ended up paying them £2 a week! Grin 1 Week it was late because of a bank holiday, I had a letter through the door the same week saying the usual - We'll start court procedings. Phoned them up and they said ignore it and we're still paying £2 a week.
I don't want a phone with them ever again if I can help it. Still can't believe they dont tell you when you sign up for broadband that your phone is tied into that contract too.
