HELP !  Can anyone help me with my problem ?  I can't seem to stay connected to the net and can only reconnect if I am using one of the phones in the house.  If I try and connect with the phones not in use the router won't connect, but take the reciever of the hook and or dial someone and hey presto back on.  Have tried Karoo help desk with very little joy, they do what they can but that's not a lot

Had the problem for a few weeks now and it seemed to come and go.  Anyway in order to try and fix / eliminate possible faults, put a combined filter on the faceplate also tested in the test socket, just the same, changed the router, new Cat6 pc cable, new high speed cable from router to wall socket and removed phone that was giving noise on the line, now clear as a bell.  I can only see the fault as external from my house as I think that i have checked and or changed just about everything.

If you have tested in the test socket then you have eliminated the chance its your own equipment, therefore get them to have a look at it.

Let us know how you get on.

I've given up for now trying to get them to fix our fault since they can't find what's wrong (disconnects when phone rings and crackle)

I could have fixed it, thank's to your suggestion of a high resistance fault.  It's sitting there quite happily, phone on the hook, 21 minutes so far so good.

Miken,  some months ago i had an identical problem to yours, disconnecting when phone rang and crackle, i had many conversations with karoo but from their end all was well, they could even tell me when i had disconected but could not figure out why, this went on for a while untill i discovered my problem.I did do a post on here as to how my problem came about and i shall have a troll to see if i can find it,but untill i do, this may sound a very very stupid suggestion, but just check your phone is plugged into the splitter where the phone should be,  don't assume as i did that the connections on phone are correct.,,,,i'll get back to you asap. Call Karoo Tech support and get them to check the line, they should call you back afterwards unlike 151. Also make sure you are into the main socket and nothing else is plugged into the phone line including extentions even if they are not used.  Every phone HAS to go through a filter.
