Just spoke on the phone with Virgin and they are offering broadband and phone in the Hull area.

I did point out that we had a monopoly here and no BT lines etc, but he was adamant they could give me broadband.

thats interesting, just put my hu17 9 postcode in on virgins website and it says i can have broadband & phone, am sure i did the same about 6 months ago and it said i could not have either,

Thats what i did, then i assumed it was a fault so rang them. My old lady is not on a contract with karoo now so going to go and run through the setup tomorrow and see what happens.

I have also just called virgin, they inform me i can have a telephone line and broadband at my beverley address.
Dont know if this is true but if it means i can cancle my broadband a kcom phone packaged that would be great and the virgin stuff would save me loads. (virgin 40Gb £14 plus phone £11 = £25, Karoo broad 10Gb £17, plus £8 a month overusage plus phone line £15, = £38).
if this is true i think there will be a mass exodus away from kraproo

They also allow you to have broadband only with no phone.

Did anyone notice this message at the bottom of each page: SERVICES AVAILABLE IN VIRGIN MEDIA CABLED STREETS ONLY. Subject to network capacity, 12-month minimum term contract. If you cancel during the minimum contract period you will incur an early disconnection fee. As far as I'm aware Virgin dont have cable in Hull do they? Dyls |
