will 8mb with bt be better than what a lot of karoo customers are getting now ?I remember way back when broadband was first launched with karoo it was blistering ,presently its supposed to be better and faster and more reliable but it seems to get slower and slower ,I cancelled and got a 3 dongle that at 1st was a pile of crap but it got better it now performs near on as my brothers karoo connection.

you wont get 8mb, you will get under 2mb as distance from beverley to leconfield is far.

i have 4mb with karoo, on the pro package, and currently i get 4mb all the time on everything so cannot complain too much. BT ipstream is worse than karoo imo...

what package are you on out of interest?

HI Dylan

Nope virgin never got back to me, someone else i know placed and order with BT for phone and ADSL and was told they could have a new BT line and BT total broadband, Line install would be £120 approx so i guess they would be running that up to leconfield exchange

Ah I see ...........I am not on a package with karoo I cancelled quite some time back, I compare my 3 dongle with my brothers karoo  which is karro pro, he only changed to that because the un capped package that he originally was on got slower and slower,

Did anyone notice this message at the bottom of each page:

Quote
SERVICES AVAILABLE IN VIRGIN MEDIA CABLED STREETS ONLY. Subject to network capacity, 12-month minimum term contract. If you cancel during the minimum contract period you will incur an early disconnection fee.

As far as I'm aware Virgin dont have cable in Hull do they?

Dyls

You can get Virgin Broadband over a BT line, I can't see why they don't get their act together and do it over a KC line - or is there other forces from stopping them do this?

I contacted the Utility Warehouse this week, seeing that I get my phone, gas and electric off them, why don't they supply me with broadband, their reply was - you need an Openreach/BT line!

Where was this, please? I ask because (fingers crossed) I am moving to a part of Beverley which is about as close to Leconfield as it's possible to get and I was wondering whether I might be able to get a BT line?
