Problems with Xbox live and PS3 online.

Hi, this is my first post on the website and I was wondering if anyone can help.
I have just upgraded to Max Option 1 from Broadband 500, or something like that. I have a Xbox 360 and PS3, both I play regularly online. I have had no previous problems with Broadband 500 but I only get 0.5Mbps so I have decided to update. I am curently waiting 10 days for the Max option 1 to take effect but I have began to hear that my connect on games etc will be very bad and I always will be getting disconnected. If this is true (I really hope not) I will be suprised as I very rarly get disconnected on the 500 service, just wondering is there anyone in Hull who has a 360 or PS3 online and is currently using Max option 1 and can shed any light on the situation, I would be very gratefull.

Hi gunner and welcome to the forums.

Sounds like your line rate might be set a little high causing it to disconnect.

If you have an ADSL modem/router with an admin page which you can get on, could you tell us what your line statistics are?

I have karoo max 4 and i still suffer on XBL...it doesnt matter what your line speed is its the upload speed that counts and i do believe Karoo's is low somewhere in the 300's.

You can correct me if i am wrong

I dunno to be honest (me too poor for XBOX360 boohoo). I did borrow one not so long back though, I´m on Karoo Max 3 and during a nights gaming I didn't really have any lag, latency or disconnections.

The upload speed on all the max packages is at 448.
