ADSL Link     Downstream     Upstream
Connection Speed    9068 kbps    1023 kbps
Line Attenuation    44.5 db    27.9 db
Noise Margin    3.0 db    9.9 db

Not too bad considering the attenuation and time of night.. Seems to run pretty stable at 3db.

Interesting, as we normally run through a Squid cache on our own web servers, and that's actually _slower_!

Very good for attenuation. Is rock stable & can sync to 5 sometimes but not 24/7 stable. It is on a long extension lead, about +1.5db on master.

I dont think it would be any use for me to go to the new Karoo Pro 1 package with this

                                  Down         up
DSL Noise Margin:       15.5 dB      24.0 dB
DSL Attenuation:        50.0 dB      31.0 dB
DSL Transmit Power:   18.7 dBm     12.0 dBm

Depends how much you download, and what you use it for, should get around 4-6Mbit on that depending on cable quality, router etc..
I'm sure you will have noticed how bad MAX is lately, buffering, slow evening speeds...

Pro is just the same and I think getting worse ,you do get buffering on utube ,bbc player etc ,and if there is a Hull city match playing ,it is sometimes that bad its not worth using ,
I took out pro because of the advertised speeds and priority, however with such a low amount of bandwidth to share out, everyone suffers even the extortionate price pro package users,

I agree that Pro seems to have slowed down over the past few weeks, seems to have gone from typically 10Mbit+ in the evenings to around 2-3Mbit which is why HD streams may struggle in the evenings, at the moment.
