Someone I know was either called or visited by Axis Telecom and offered line, calls and broadband at seemingly attractive rates.
ISTR line rental £6.10, call plan £8.14 inc free UK local and national calls, 8mb broadband £6.95 up to 5gb a month. An extra 80gb a month for £4.09. 30 quid connection charge.  This guy lives in Hull and is an existing Karoo subscriber.

Anyone heard anything about them?

Is your friend in Hull or BT land?
£14.24 for line rental and calls is more than the £10.50 I pay Utilty Warehouse/KC for the same but if they can do broadband on a KC line for £6.95 I'll be interested.

As I said, he is in Hull and a KC customer.
I think the broadband required the line rental and call package as pre-requisites though.

Interesting, they were trying to get him to sign on there and then - not usually a good sign.

Axis don't mention their KC services on their website. They have cold called me at work offering ADSL (business is based in Hessle) before; I brushed them off because telecoms is handled by head office, at that point the offering to BT land was completely different but they didn't offer anything to the residents of Hull.

One word: dodgy.
