I have used a grand total of 0.01GBs yet my connection has slowed to lime 900kbps, has something gone wrong? Seems I have been throttled when I have not used anything..

What a joke this ISP is.

I still keep getting signed out of PSN every 5 minutes, odd that off peak PSN is totally stable. Hmm must be my modem or setup...

LOL I can see how this FUP enforcement is really benefiting us 99% of users who don't exceed it.

I am getting less than 25% of my sync speed, less than 1/8th the theoretical maximum.

9PM, Karoo Max Option 2, 7GB used this month:

Could it be my wiring, my sky box, my filters, the rain, the way I'm sat?  Well, if so, why is the 100MB test download outside the packet shaper going much faster:

We should all refuse to pay them next months money unless they sort it out. A tech rang me yesterday and said they were having network problems and when I said not enough bandwith to go around , techie said "yes" quickly.

Its a joke, there is no way I will be able to get my peak allowance at those speeds anyway, not that I download much at peak time anyway. 0.17Gb used of my limit and I am throttled to a snails pace. Hmmmm.

But as you say at midnight the speed is full 8mb as per my line sync. So who is the FUP actually benefiting? As it seems to be making no difference to my peak time performace. You would think if everyone is downloading their limits that they should all be throttled to 288kbps. Wink

Whats annoying is why are they making the throttling so aggressive, does the bandwidth actually COST them more 6pm - midnight? Because all it seems to do is make the service pretty much unusable for me.

The question that I need answering is - Are Karoo breaking the trade description act as they are making these speeds happen due to their incompetence?
I have to use my 3 Network in the evenings as it is faster than Karoo broadband and I am seriously considering getting rid of Karoo b/b @ £30.00 per month and my Kingstone telephone @£14.00, that's £44.00 a month saving to me and loss to them.
I doubt very much that they care as the caring sharing  bit seems to have reverted back to the normal crap service. Way to go Karoo

Hi All

We are aware of the performance issues on the network last night. We are investigating this and will update you as soon as possible. We would like to apologise to you for any inconvenience caused - please rest assured we take these matters extremely seriously as we endeavour to manage performance on the network fairly for all.

Kindest regards
Karoo
