Any help hugely appreciated...

As I'm sure you're aware traffic shaping has gone mad recently which for me meant that I was getting speeds of around 300kbps in the evening which more or less rendered my broadband defunct.

I rang Karoo and they basically said that as long as I was on the old Max package there was nothing I could do so I, reluctantly (didn't want a new contract), upgraded to one of the new packages. It went live today so I checked the speeds at 9.AM before I went out for the day and it was reading approx 11mb, great! However, I just got back home and I am getting 400kbps. Barely an improvement.

The guy who sold me this package told me it would be the end of my traffic-shaping woes, clearly this is not true. Have any of you had a similar experience and, if so, what's the best way of dealing with Karoo?

It could be that you haven't been moved over onto the new package properly, so your line rate has increased but your package hasn't changed.

I haven't had any evening speed problems since the maintenance.

So it may be worth speaking to tech support again...

i was the biggest complainer regarding download speeds on my max connection. but since i've upgraded to mid package it has been perfect.  i just need to check my gb limit every few days to ensure i dont over use it.  i'm not a downloader anyway, just legit tv streamer.

my only complaint is now that i would still like to choose sky or bt or kc if i want to, but i cant. thats my beef.
